On day 1 in a new facility, I always spend the day with the Resident Council President and hold 2 meetings of residents. One in the morning for the early risers and the second one around 2:30 pm. A meet and greet and the residents are encouraged to ask me questions. We plan a 6 month calendar of events. I always keep my word, whatever I promise.

My goal and calling is to help others grow. I realized this week while at FHCA Conference that in each of the facilities (whether interim or full time) where I’ve been NHA, a true leader has been developed. Sometimes maybe more than one leader is born. Yep-building leaders, that’s what I do.
