🌟 Celebrating Patient Success at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Jacksonville 🌟

We are proud to celebrate another successful patient recovery made possible by the dedication of our incredible care team.

A recent patient admitted to PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Jacksonville for respiratory failure required specialized medical care and rehabilitation to regain strength and independence. Through the collaboration of our clinical team and the patient’s determination, significant progress was made throughout the recovery journey.

After several weeks of treatment, therapy, and support, the patient was able to successfully discharge home with improved mobility and independence.

Stories like this remind us why we do what we do every day — helping patients regain their strength, confidence, and quality of life.

Thank you to our physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff who make outcomes like this possible.

Patient safety awareness and training are a vital stop on the continuum of care. Ensuring a patient is properly equipped with tools, skills, and adaptive equipment to safely navigate their home and complete their activities of daily living confidently and effectively not only helps prevent hospital re-admissions but also preserves independence, dignity, and emotional well-being!

That’s why we are proud to recognize National Patient Safety Awareness Week March 8-14! Patient safety isn’t just a box to check for us at PAM Health. It is built into our company culture and values, and our teams are always striving to raise the bar for patient safety standards. Thank you to our staff for your commitment to patient safety this week and every other day of the year!

Today we celebrate caregivers, both in the healthcare field and for family members caring for their loved ones.

At PAM Health, we recognize the importance of supporting caregivers outside of our hospitals as much as patients themselves. Caregivers are an integral part of PAM Health’s commitment to being there throughout the entire continuum of care. Our expert teams work with caregivers to ensure they’re equipped to help their loved one post-discharge, and our support groups offer caregivers the chance to connect with others in their community. We know your work sometimes goes unseen, caregivers, but we wouldn’t be able to do what we do at PAM Health without you!

For those who have experienced a septic event, they and their loved ones know that TIME was of the essence. Learn the T.I.M.E. acronym to understand how to spot sepsis symptoms and get timely treatment.

National Cancer Prevention Month during February is a great opportunity to take control of your health to lower your cancer risk!

According to the American Association for Cancer Research, more than 40 percent of two million cancer cases diagnosed in 2023 and half of the 600,000 who died from it can be attributed to preventable causes like smoking, excess body weight, physical inactivity, and excessive sun exposure.

Some types of cancer can be prevented or caught in the very early stages by knowing if you have a family history of it and getting screenings as appropriate based on your age, risk level, and other factors.

By spreading awareness about cancer screenings, lifestyle changes, and research, we can help prevent cancer diagnoses together!
