November is National Family Caregivers Month!
This month, we honor the millions of people who devote themselves to caring for family members, friends, and loved ones often while juggling jobs, home life, and their own well-being. Caregivers support independence, enable comfort, and bring compassion when it matters most.
It’s also a reminder that you don’t have to go it alone. If you’re in the Jacksonville area and providing care, here are three excellent local organizations where you can find support, relief, education, and community:
ElderSource offers caregiver-focused programs like the TCARE burnout prevention initiative for those caring for loved ones aged 60+ in Duval, Clay, St. Johns & surrounding counties.

Aging True (formerly Community Senior Services) offers in-home senior care, caregiver assistance, respite services and tailored support for caregivers and seniors alike.

The Arc Jacksonville Specialized Aging Support (SAS) – Focused on caregivers of individuals with intellectual & developmental differences who are aging or living with dementia; caregiver education and training included.

Let’s use this month to thank the caregivers in our lives, raise awareness of the challenges and rewards of caregiving, and share resources so no one feels trapped in the role without help. If you’re a caregiver, remember: your work matters, you matter, and support is out there. 💙
