Life Tree Women Care

Life Tree Women Care Life Tree Women Care Inc. offers culturally competent and safe care to every patient.

As many women have never seen a medical provider that is of the same ethnicity (which adds to the lack of connection), Life Tree Women Care ensures a staff that is of diverse ethnicities to increase connection and inclusion. The clinic’s location was specifically chosen as a place accessible to those relying on public transportation. Life Tree Women Care collaborates with other medical providers and community services to bring balance and maintenance to healthy lives for all. The goal is to impact the trust the community has for the medical profession in a positive way.

“Too many women on the Westside lack access to effective and affordable care,” explained Co-Founder Jamie Neal, ARNP. “We want to change that while prioritizing healthcare services for all women with both quality and cultural competence."

No woman should face greater risks in pregnancy simply because of her race or background.

According to a recent article in Contemporary OB/GYN, women of color, especially Black, Indigenous, and Hispanic women, face significantly higher risks during pregnancy and childbirth: https://bit.ly/41KZMTb

These disparities aren’t due to individual choices, but systemic inequities: barriers to quality care, delayed diagnoses, and unequal access to life-saving resources.

At Life Tree Women Care, we’re committed to changing these outcomes by advocating for every woman’s health, providing personalized care, and ensuring that every mother feels seen, heard, and supported.

Ever wonder how your conception month connects to your baby’s birth month?

A pregnancy birth month chart can help you estimate when your little one might arrive, based on the typical 40-week pregnancy timeline.

Here’s how it works:
1) Start with your due date and work backward to find your likely conception month.
2) Match it to the chart to see your estimated birth month.

✨ Example: Conception in November often means a baby in August, while conception in February or March may lead to a November or December birth.

Remember, these charts are helpful for planning, but they are not exact since most babies arrive on their own schedule.

Wondering if it’s safe to have a Pap smear or colposcopy during pregnancy?

Many women worry that these procedures could disturb their pregnancy, but the truth is they are completely safe. Getting a Pap smear or colposcopy when it’s due is important and will not harm you, your baby, or your cervix.

If your provider recommends it, you can feel confident moving forward.

Let’s talk about whether wine is safe during pregnancy.

Many women wonder if the occasional glass is okay, but alcohol is not recommended at any point during pregnancy. Even small amounts can create risks for both mom and baby. 🍷❌

If anxiety is the concern, the best step is to speak with a provider about safe alternatives.
