Meet Greg, one of our amazing Lead RBTs and Fieldwork Program participants! His passion for advocacy and independence is why we do what we do. 💎

His journey into ABA began with a personal experience that shaped the way he sees every child who walks through our doors. Growing up deaf and diagnosed later than most, he spent his early years working hard to catch up in language development. With the help of a dedicated speech-language pathologist who used ABA principles, Greg was speaking fluently by age five- an achievement that left a lasting impression. That life-changing support inspired him to build a career helping kids reach their own milestones.

At Ruby Beach, Greg’s favorite moments are when a child begins to advocate for themselves or masters a new step toward independence. “Seeing how proud their families are, and knowing how passionate our team is about it all, is what makes this work so meaningful,” he shares.

Through the fieldwork program at Ruby Beach, Greg has honed his ability to communicate across an entire care team, from families to fellow therapists, BCBAs, SLPs, and OTs. He’s also fueled by the shared sense of pride that spreads through the clinic when a child succeeds. “It happens often: another therapist will share a win from a client we both work with and you can see how much it means to them.”

His advice for those just starting out? Never stop learning, always treat every child with dignity, and celebrate every success along the way.

🧵 Melissa & Doug Bead Sequencing Set – This set does so much more than just stacking beads. We use it to target patterning, fine motor coordination, following directions, and early math skills. It’s also great for quiet, independent play!

📚 Sticker Books – These activity books are a huge hit with our early learners and older clients! Peeling and placing stickers helps strengthen fine motor skills, while matching and labeling builds receptive and expressive language. Plus, they're easy to individualize based on a child's interests.
