"Expand"
When I felt like this was my word for 2022, I had no idea it would mean expanding my business, Ubuntu Counseling Center, LLC. www.theubuntuprocess.com
Yet here I am looking to expand. At this point, I have a small private practice office located at 1260 McDuff Avenue S. in Jacksonville, FL. I also have a small group space in the same building that can be utilized for groups or trainings.
I imagine the right person might be someone looking to be in private practice 3-4 days a week but not wanting to run their own business yet or even someone just getting started, or perhaps even someone wanting to learn more about experiential therapy, nature-based therapy, groups, or human trafficking as I have a background specifically to these areas.
The person at this point needs to be licensed as there will not always be a licensed person on-site. For anyone interested, I will be asking to meet face to face as a next step to connect further because I truly want it to be a win/win. If interested please reach out to erin@theubuntuprocess.com.

Grateful to partner with another therapist this morning and support in the equine-assisted therapy group process.

I will likely never own a horse but it was incredible to witness and honored to be present today. It was a breezy beautiful day and I took away so much from the process. To witness others in their process was equally a gift.

For me there is something really cool about witnessing a therapist working in their sweet spot and being at their best and today I was able to witness just that. We cannot do it all alone and I love partnering with other therapists and learning from what others bring.

Grateful for the experience today and maybe just maybe it even helped me inch more towards being a horse person.

Loved the time I was able to spend today with a MOPS group. Being able to talk to a group of moms about all things mental wellness was such a gift.
As a therapist I love to partner with community providers and groups and hope to be able to provide even more trainings in the future.
Their thank you note was so kind and it reminded me of the importance of a simple "thank you" and gesture.
So thank you to all the mom's out there who are working to shift patterns and show up for those around you.

One of my favorite things to do is partner with other organizations and this past weekend I was able to partner with Haven Retreats and provide therapy services for foster and adoptive moms.
I am so grateful for the way Haven Retreats provides support to families. It takes a village and none of us can do it all but each of us can do something. Each time that something feels small to me, I am reminded that the something matters.

Grateful for spring and also for all this week offered. While it has been busy, I was able to provide trainings for two different organizations. It was a beautiful reminder of all those around the world who continue to show up and provide presence and love.

Thank you Operation New Hope and Set Free Monterey Bay for all the ways you are showing up for others and for allowing me to come alongside your teams for a few hours this week.

So many times since becoming a therapist I have thought, "where was this when I was 20". While I am sure services existed, I was unaware of any.
Today every part of my being is excited to share about this program which recently added in more trips and expanded their services beyond human trafficking and to work with survivors of trauma.
The trauma was not your fault and you are so worthy of the space to rest, process, and voice the hard and the real.

I am a firm believer in engaging in additional things in conjunction with therapy. I have engaged in so many things the last 10 years which have helped me and sometimes maybe even helped me more than traditional talk therapy.

Some of these things have included kravmaga, kickboxing, crossfit, hiking, scuba-diving, rock-climbing, yoga, various forms of massage and so much more.

So today I wanted to share this opportunity (upon acceptance) for those who may want to explore dance and movement. Also, to clarify this is something I want to share as an opportunity but is not affiliated directly with Ubuntu Counseling Center.

I just love to share things happening in our community and be a resource for all those on the journey of being, healing, and/or growing.

So grateful for the opportunity this weekend to partner with Arize Together and provide therapeutic programming for a retreat held in a beautiful location in GA.
It is always a beautiful gift to come alongside others as they show up and courageously engage the process.
