Even though cough and cold season may be coming to an end, your child could still get sick during this time 🌙🤍 Coughs can happen anytime, and most of the time they are caused by simple colds—not pneumonia.
Two simple signs that a cough is likely NOT pneumonia:
✅ Fever is under 101°F (in the 99s or low 100s)
✅ Your child looks better when the fever comes down
With pneumonia, children look sicker over a few day and DON'T perk up when the fever improves. If you’re unsure, it’s always best to have your pediatrician listen to your child’s lungs—and sometimes a chest X-ray may be needed. 🩺
