When Should You See a Physical Therapist?

If you’re waiting for the pain to “just go away,” you might be waiting too long and missing the best window for a quicker recovery!

Here are some clear signs it’s time to see a PT:
✅ Pain that’s lasting more than a week - especially with movement
✅ You’re modifying daily activities to “avoid pain” (lifting, reaching, walking, sleeping)
✅ Stiffness or limited mobility that’s getting worse instead of better
✅ You recently had surgery or an injury and don’t want long-term weakness or compensation
✅ You want to AVOID pain meds, injections, or surgery if possible
✅ You’re not injured, but want to prevent one (sports, fitness, aging, etc.)

At Atlas Physical Therapy, you don’t need a doctor’s referral in most cases to start care, and early PT can help you heal faster, safer, and with fewer long-term complications.

💬 Don’t wait for pain to control your life. Let’s fix it before it becomes a bigger problem.

Shoulder pain can come from more than just “sleeping wrong.” It’s one of the most complex joints in the body, and even small imbalances can lead to big discomfort over time.

Common causes include:
⚡ Overuse injuries from repetitive activities
🏋️ Weakness or tightness in the rotator cuff or upper back muscles
🚫 Shoulder impingement, tendonitis, or limited joint mobility

At Atlas Physical Therapy, we start by identifying the true source of your pain through a detailed assessment. Then, we create a personalized treatment plan designed to:
✅ Reduce inflammation and pain
✅ Restore shoulder mobility and strength
✅ Progressively re-introduce activity and sport
✅ Prevent future flare-ups and re-injury

Whether you’re an athlete, a parent lifting your child, or just someone who wants to move without restriction, we’ll help you get back to doing what you love, pain-free.

The cooler weather is perfect for hitting the pavement but don’t let plantar fasciitis slow you down! 🌴🍂

Plantar fasciitis is caused by inflammation of the tissue connecting your heel to your toes, often from overuse, improper footwear, or imbalances in flexibility or strength. Physical therapy can help you:
✅ Reduce heel pain
✅ Improve foot and calf flexibility
✅ Strengthen arches and lower legs
✅ Get back to running comfortably

Don’t let heel pain cut your runs short, take care of your feet and keep moving this fall!
