There are two main varieties of green tea
• Camellia sinesis variety sinesis
• Camelia sinesis variety assamica
• Matcha tencha variety
• Fermented teas
The sinesis variety is used in tea production China and Japan, and the assamica variety is used in tea production in India.
Matcha tea is a powdered form of a specially cultivated green tea.
