Anxiety in children doesn’t always look like worry. Sometimes it shows up as stomachaches, irritability, trouble sleeping, or avoiding school and activities they once enjoyed. Other children may become clingy, perfectionistic, or easily overwhelmed.

Kids often don’t have the words to say “I’m anxious,” so their behavior speaks for them.

Pay attention to patterns, create space for honest conversation, and remind them they are safe and supported. Early understanding can make a big difference in helping children learn how to manage their worries in healthy ways.

Motherhood has a way of reaching into places you didn’t know were still tender.
A slammed door. A child pulling away. A moment that feels bigger than it should.
And suddenly, you’re not just parenting your child — you’re face-to-face with the little girl you once were.
What if the moments that trigger you most aren’t signs you’re failing… but invitations to heal? 🌿💛

Grief doesn’t move on a timeline. And healing cannot be rushed.

Our therapist, Nathalie Potts, recently wrote a powerful blog titled “Learning to Grieve Without Rushing Healing.” In it, she explores why we often pressure ourselves (and others) to “move on” too quickly, and how true healing requires space, honesty, and patience.

If you’re navigating loss, supporting someone who is, or simply trying to understand grief more deeply, this is a piece worth reading.

You don’t have to hurry your healing.

Read the full blog now at JacksonvilleCounseling.net and share it with someone who may need permission to grieve at their own pace.

Anxiety. Stress. Depression. Support. Calm. Therapy.

These aren’t just words—they’re real experiences many people quietly carry.

If more squares resonate than you expected, you’re not broken. You’re human. And you’re not meant to navigate it alone.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Healing often begins with honesty—and with allowing both support and Scripture to meet us where we are.

Which square feels most real for you right now?

Help us give Alina a warm welcome! Check out below a little about her and how she approaches therapy.

For the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of sitting with individuals and couples as they share their stories. I've walked alongside people facing depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss, trauma, ADHD, bipolar experiences, and so much more. What I've learned, over and over, is this: When someone feels truly seen and heard—without judgment, without hurry—something beautiful begins to shift.

We are so excited to have her on our team! Alina will be a great addition to Jacksonville Counseling's growing practice🧠✨
