Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is stop trying to fix the story and simply sit with it. Healing is not about forcing meaning too quickly but allowing space for reflection, faith, and curiosity to gently reshape how we understand what we have been through.

When care replaces pressure, the mind and heart begin to integrate pain in a healthier way. God does not rush our process and neither should we.

Save this as a reminder that showing care often means slowing down and staying present.

Ever notice how drained you feel after chasing quick hits of stimulation, but calm and full after slowing down? 🤍

Not all dopamine is the same. The kind that truly nourishes your mind and soul comes from presence, connection, gratitude, and noticing God’s creation right in front of you. When we step away from constant noise and allow ourselves to be fully here, our nervous system settles and our hearts remember what peace feels like.
Today, try a small reset. Take a walk, breathe deeply, notice beauty, and thank God for one simple thing.

Save this for the next time your mind feels overstimulated and your soul needs rest.

As 2025 comes to a close, remember that small wins is still succeeding. This year may have asked more of you than you expected—and you showed up anyway. Rest without guilt, release what no longer serves you, and take pride in the quiet strength it took to keep going. You don’t need to have it all figured out to move forward. One breath, one step, one day at a time—you are enough, exactly as you are.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Take a moment today to slow down and reflect. Thanksgiving invites us to practice gratitude, even when the holidays feel heavy or complicated. Pause and name three things—big or small—that you’re grateful for. Write them down or say them out loud. Let that simple act steady your heart.

Breaking the Silence: November is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month

Men are taught to push through, power up, and keep quiet. But silence can turn into suffering. True strength begins when you speak what’s real.
Jesus didn’t hide His emotions—He wept, He prayed in anguish, He reached for His friends in His darkest hour.
Let’s redefine strength this November: honesty over hiding.

✨ The Last Free Book Study: “Jesus in Your Mental Health” ✨ with author Rebecca Maxwell
We’re closing out our journey through Jesus in Your Mental Health by Rebecca Maxwell — and this week, Rebecca herself will be joining us live on Zoom for our final discussion!

🌿 Chapters 13–15: Faith, Diagnosis & Healing
These chapters dive deep into mental illness, the labels we carry, and what it truly means to seek help with both wisdom and faith.
💭 Have you ever felt relief or frustration after receiving a mental health diagnosis?
💭 How do faith and professional care work together when it comes to healing your mind and heart?

Together, we’ll reflect on:
📖 2 Peter 1:3–4 — that God has already given us all we need for life and godliness.
📖 Daniel 4 — where King Nebuchadnezzar’s story reminds us that even in mental confusion, restoration is possible when we turn to God’s sovereignty.
📖 Proverbs 24:6 — how wise counsel brings victory in our battles.

Join us as we talk about the tension between diagnosis and identity, the courage to seek therapy, and the faith it takes to invite others into our healing journey.

📅 Date: November 10th
💻 Where: Free on Zoom — Link in bio!
👩‍🏫 Led by: Author Rebecca Maxwell herself!

Whether Jacksonville, FL or anywhere in the world, this is your final chance to join us for this faith-centered, trauma-informed discussion on mental health and spiritual renewal.

🕊️ Healing is not the absence of struggle — it’s inviting Jesus into the struggle.

🌿 October Mental Health Snapshot

As the seasons shift, mental health challenges often rise — especially with shorter days, busier schedules, and the approach of the holidays.

Key Stats:

🧠 Nearly 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience a mental health condition each year (NAMI, 2024).

🍂 Reports of seasonal depression and anxiety begin increasing in October, with symptoms peaking in late fall and winter.

💼 Over 60% of employees report feeling burned out by October due to workload and end-of-year pressures (APA, 2024).

🧍‍♀️ About 42% of adults say their mental health has been negatively impacted by stress related to finances, relationships, or world events.

💬 Despite these numbers, only 46% of people who need care receive it.

💬 Encouragement:

October is a good time to pause and check in with yourself, your team, and your loved ones.
Simple grounding routines, healthy boundaries, and reaching out for support can make a huge difference as we move into the cooler months.

🌿 Let’s Talk About Anxiety 🌿

Anxiety isn’t just “worrying too much.” It’s your body’s alarm system stuck on overdrive—racing thoughts, tight chest, restlessness, and difficulty focusing. Everyone feels anxious sometimes, but when it starts to interfere with daily life, it deserves care and support.

✨ A few grounding reminders:

You are not your anxiety.

It is treatable, and you don’t have to face it alone.

Small steps—like reading scripture, breathing exercises, journaling, movement, or therapy—can make a big difference.

💙 If you’re struggling with anxiety, reaching out for support is a strength, not a weakness. You deserve peace of mind.

✨ “We can grow into maturity and direct our minds towards Christ by seeking wisdom in His Word.” – Jesus and Your Mental Health by Rebecca Maxwell ✨

Our mental and spiritual health are deeply connected. When life feels overwhelming, turning to Scripture offers both wisdom and peace. God’s Word not only renews our minds but also guides us toward maturity, resilience, and hope in Christ.

🌿 Take time today to pause, open the Bible, and allow God’s truth to steady your heart and mind. Healing and growth begin when we anchor ourselves in Him.

WE talk about it to bring awareness! 🗣️ Su***de is the 11th leading cause of death in the U.S., which is a staggering and heartbreaking reality that we need to address. In 2023, a devastating 49,316 AMERICANS died by su***de, leaving behind countless loved ones and communities shattered by the loss.
Moreover, in 2023, there was an estimated 1.5 million su***de attempts, a number that highlights the urgent need for support and resources. 🚨 Please remember you are loved, you are valued, and you are not alone.
