Happy 1st Day of Spring!! šŸŒøSpring is a season of light, warmth, and renewal. If you visit The Pointe at Jacksonville during the next few months, you are sure to see some of our spring projects and building updates in progress. Inside and outside, we have a lot of exciting plans ahead! Open house plans will be shared once everything is complete so stay tuned for more details!

It was an awesome time this evening at our Valentineā€™s dinner & dance! šŸ’–We had great music from Aubrey Reed to keep us feeling the love, as our residents and guests enjoyed a Valentineā€™s Day dinner of Marry Me Chicken & pasta. Change of facility name and ownership

The Supportive Living Facility located at 20 Jacksonville Place, a block south from Passavant hospital in Jacksonville Illinois, will no longer be known as Knollwood Retirement Community. Alice Hulvey, the new marketing director for what is now called, The Pointe at Jacksonville, recently announced the facility is under new ownership.

ā€œI want the citizens of Morgan county and surrounding communities to know that we are making some positive changes and that we have availability. I want to make sure the facilities reputation is good and that everyone is doing their job and that our residents are as comfortable as possible.ā€

The new owner of the facility, Michael Stein, also owns homes in Morris, Crestwood and Pontiac. ā€œMr. Stein genuinely cares for the residents in his homes and their comfort and quality of life.ā€

The hope is that people will recognize and appreciate the changes being implemented. Some of the most recent changes include updates to the dining experience with ā€˜restaurant style diningā€™, renovations to update apartments and more community outings for our residents.
