Vital Care of Jacksonville was proud to help sponsor this morning’s Take Steps Charity Walk for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. The weather at Memorial Park was lovely, and Hunter and Brett enjoyed meeting various patients, caregivers, and health professionals. The funds raised will “accelerate research, advance treatments, and provide programs and support to improve the quality of life for those living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.” Every week, Vital Care of Jacksonville distributes and administers medications that help patients summit Mt. Remission! 😊

We Are Open! Post-Milton update. The Vital Care Infusion Services of Jacksonville facility made it through storm. As of Thursday morning, we are able to conduct normal operations, and we are actively preparing medications for shipments and deliveries.

If you or anyone you know is in need of pharmacy services as a result of being negatively impacted by Hurricane Milton, please let us know.

If your typical specialty pharmacy has been impacted by the storm, we may be able to make a special delivery across the state of Florida for certain medications. We are also licensed to deliver to Georgia if you have been displaced and are sheltering there.

Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) is a neurological disorder characterized by progressive weakness and impaired sensory function in the limbs. Common symptoms of CIDP include:
1. Progressive weakness: Weakness typically starts in the legs and may gradually spread to the arms. It can affect both sides of the body symmetrically.
2. Sensory disturbances: Patients may experience numbness, tingling, or abnormal sensations (paresthesias) in the limbs. This can affect the ability to feel touch, temperature, or pain.
3. Loss of reflexes: Reflexes may become diminished or absent, particularly in the legs.
4. Fatigue: Many individuals with CIDP experience fatigue, which can be debilitating and impact daily activities.
5. Difficulty with coordination and balance: CIDP can lead to problems with coordination and balance, increasing the risk of falls.
6. Impaired motor function: In addition to weakness, CIDP can cause difficulty with fine motor skills, such as writing or buttoning clothes.
7. Pain: Some individuals with CIDP may experience pain, which can range from mild to severe and may be described as aching or burning.
8. Sensory ataxia: This refers to a loss of proprioception (awareness of body position) and coordination due to sensory nerve damage.
