We had a great time at our Beers with Peers Bonfire last Friday at the Pulido family farm! It was a great opportunity for residents and fellows from local hospitals to get to know each other in a laid-back atmosphere. Here’s to more great nights of connection and community!

We're pleased to launch our Physician's Guide for Florida Seniors Selecting Medicare Advantage Plans. With over 613 licensed Medicare Advantage Plans in Florida, offered by 30 different companies, it is extremely difficult for seniors to navigate this landscape effectively and select which plan will perform best for their individual healthcare needs. The data included in this report was gathered through a survey of physicians from select counties across the state, including ours. Jointly hosted by the Duval County Medical Society and the University of North Florida, the International Healthcare Symposium is a multidisciplinary conference aimed at educating, engaging and connecting healthcare professionals. The second day of the 2025 Symposium included talks and panels on "Digital Health Challenges, Leadership in the Digital Era, Reimbursement in a Changing Environment, and Digital Education in Healthcare. Breakout sessions allowed attendees to delve into the topics of ACHE Leadership, Exercise as Medicine, Mental Health in the Digital Era, AI Advances in Physical Therapy, and Community Connections & Partnerships.

Jointly hosted by the Duval County Medical Society and the University of North Florida, the International Healthcare Symposium is a multidisciplinary conference aimed at educating, engaging and connecting healthcare professionals. The first day of the 2025 Symposium included a variety of talks and panels focused on "advancing health in the digital age." Speakers included DCMS members Drs. Mark Dobbertien, Ruple Galani, Sunil Joshi, Ali Kasraeian, Shyam Paryani, and Kent Thielen, as well as state and national healthcare leaders: Drs. Bobby Mukkamala (American Medical Association President), Richard Thacker (American Osteopathic Association President-elect), Ashley Norse (Florida Medical Association President), and Bruce Rankin (Florida Osteopathic Medical Association President).
