Hello, family! I've been working on a line that leads us to an "Edward Howard." He purchased land here in the Jacksonville, North Carolina area "March 7, 1736 on the North side of the Northwest branch of the river." "The River" is the New River. On the map, there is a small branch of the river named "Edward's Creek." Nearby are roads named "Titus Lane", and "George Howard Rd" both adjacent to Edward's Creek. I live about 20 minutes from this area so I will be checking it out soon. I will update when I find out more.
