We had another memorable day at River Garden during Skilled Nursing Care Week! We called it 'River Garden Spirit Day' and staff came together in their team apparel to celebrate! Thanks to our HR & Dining Services teams (plus the helping hands of others) we enjoyed a lovely lunch on the patio, including a retirement celebration for Yvonne, a 28-year veteran cook for our Home.

Later in the afternoon, we were honored to welcome AHCA Secretary Shevaun Harris and AHCA Deputy Secretary Health Quality Assurance Kimberly Smoak, who officially presented our Governor's Gold Seal of Excellence for Long-Term Care award to our staff. Steve Bahmer, CEO of LeadingAge Southeast, and Mayor Donna Deegan shared congratulatory remarks.

Thank you to our CEO, Mauri Mizrahi, and Home Board President Debby Kaye for leading us - it was a day to be remembered!

We had another memorable day at River Garden during Skilled Nursing Care Week! We called it 'River Garden Spirit Day' and staff came together in their team apparel to celebrate! April showers bring May vegetables? Yes, for The Coves at River Garden, that's true!
Thanks to the handiwork of Norberto Irizarry, Dining Services Manager, and Elizabeth Jackson, Life Enrichment Coordinator, a lovely group now has a garden to tend. At today's ribbon-cutting, all admired the start of the plants, which includes tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and herbs.

Thank you to our community partner, Jewish Federation and Foundation of Northeast Florida, for treating our residents to a wonderful Spa Day experience this morning! Residents enjoyed manicures, shoulder and hand massages, a lovely lavender and rose petal sachet, and some salon-style kibitzing (chit-chat).
