This mama and her family were so special to work with 💕 I’m so grateful to have witnessed her step into motherhood with so much determination and love. We closed out our care with some real talk, intention, and ceremony - just the way we began a few months before!

Here’s what she had to say about working with me 🥹…

“From the moment I met her, I knew I was in good hands. Her warmth, wisdom, and genuine care made such a difference during my pregnancy, birth, and postponed journey. She showed up for me in every way imaginable and helped me step into motherhood with confidence and peace. I’m forever grateful for everything she poured into me and Nova — she’ll always be a part of our story! 💜”

If you’re interested in booking services with me, let’s start with a consultation 😌

Earlier this year, I hosted The Other Side of Mother’s Day at . This space was born from my own experience with grief, and from knowing how complicated a Mother’s Day can feel for so many of us.

And here’s the candid truth: no one showed up.

At first, I was disappointed. But then I remembered why I wanted to create this space in the first place. Holding space for grief is still needed, even if the seats are empty. Even if it’s just me showing up to honor that vision.

For me, this was not a failure — it was practice. Practice in rooting an idea, in offering it out loud, in trusting that the people who need it will come when the time is right.

I still believe circles like this where we can talk honestly about death, dying, and grief matter. So I’ll keep trying. And I hope the next time you will join me 💚

👉🏾 If a grief circle like this would support you, let me know in the comments.

Some of us are holding grief. Some of us are missing our moms, our babies, or the version of ourselves we used to be.

If that’s you — I’d love for you to join me for The Other Side of Mother’s Day, a cozy “come as you are” grief circle.

You can expect tasty drinks and treats at the cafe, grief-y books from the shop, friendly faces who GET IT, and the space to honor your grief.

Nothing is required, but your presence. You can share (if you want) or simply be in the space.

✨I’ll be sharing a little of my own story too.
It makes no sense to me that this will be my 14th Mother’s Day since my mama became an ancestor. Every year has been significantly different and this year I’m excited to be in community 💖

📍 May 11 | 10 -11 am |

Come as you are. There’s room for you.

👇🏾if this resonates or you plan to attend, comment “I get it”.

🌱👀🌱 Name that herb…

You guessed it!! 🌺 Hibiscus is THAT girl 🌺 also known as bissap, roselle, flor de Jamaica or sorrel. She’s rich in antioxidants like Vitamin C, anti-inflammatory, supports liver function, and is amazing for ❤️ health. It’s most popularly consumed as a sweet yet tangy tea, but you can also create a tincture, extract, or poultice using the flower’s petals.

Learn more about this beautiful plant to see if you should incorporate it into your wellness practice more regularly!

🕊️ “I’m ancient. My soul is ancient. My magic is passed down and Indigenous magic fused my destiny in death work.” 🕊️

When I’m in conversation with other life cycle facilitators, I always invite them to introduce themselves by responding to “Who are you?” No bio can capture the essence of your being like reflecting back to the world who you are beyond the titles and accolades.

🕯️ To do this work you have to audaciously proclaim who you are and whose you are. Erica Xavier-Beauvoir (all pronouns) exemplifies this so powerfully in his introductory statement.

🕯️ This is the type of power we inherit when we trust in spirit.

Here’s a peek inside my kitchen apothecary 🤭🌱✨

As an baby herbalist, I’ve been lucky to study with amazing teachers and I read everything I can get my hands on. Now after years of feeding my curiosities it’s time to take it to the next level.

Our ancestors knew how to work the roots for good health, a sound mind, for protection, conjuring blessings (& other outcomes 👀) and so much more ✨ It has been intentional to separate us from herbal medicine and makes us question or devalue its many uses. Part of our legacy is reclaiming this knowing, preserving it’s authenticity, and passing it down. Unearthing these practices are a form of resistance 💯

Snuggled up with my latest read by thee 📖💜

Some of my favorite quotes so far:

💟 “For me, death work is activism at its core. Fueled by anger but cloaked in love.”

💟 “I’m only here for a small amount of time. So I insist on taking up space in the world, in rooms, in my life, and in my relationships. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am here. This is my body. It is the place I live and also the place where I will die.”

💟 “I recognize now that my earlier depression was an invitation from an empty body to fill it.”

💟 “We don’t lose parts of ourselves because we are dying. We become more of who we are.”

💟 “Yes, we die, but we die of different causes at different rates in different ways. There is nothing equal about death, except that we all do it. Death and dying are culturally constructed processes that reflect social power dynamics - they are unequal. How we die is wrapped up largely in the intersection of our identities.”

YES! Read it. You will probably cry, laugh and contemplate your own life/death and then maybe we can even chat about it, okay?! 📖💜
