Enjoy a Restorative evening with Suzanne

Suzanne is a professionally Certified and experienced Reiki Practitioner who works at Asante and practices Reiki at the hospital as a volunteer, and through her private practice. She also is a Yoga instructor .
She has traveled extensively around the world and had the opportunity to live in Mexico when she was a child.  These experiences have given her great appreciation of other cultures and a profound appreciation for diversity.
Through her own transformation and healing journey, she draws from a deep well of enormous empathy and compassion which fuses a more intimate connection with her patients and students as she witness’ the healing powers this universal life force energy has.  
Reiki uses gently touch, which helps this energy flow through your body.  This which allows deep relaxation, stress reduction, increases digestion, lowers blood pressure, improves sleep, and promotes healing of mind and body deep from within.  
A session of Reiki is as restorative and restful as 8 hours of sleep!

What Is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra (pronounced nih-drah) is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation.” It’s usually practiced lying down with a yoga teacher guiding the session. The goal is for the body to be completely relaxed while the mind is awake and focused inward.

During the course of Yoga Nidra, you learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where your body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) and the breath balances and becomes quiet. In this state, you can access the subtle flow of energy, called prana, in the body. One of the goals of this practice is to identify and remove blockages to its flow
