Did you know there’s a key difference between service animals, emotional support animals and therapy dogs?

At Wekiva Springs Center, we welcome task-trained service dogs who play an essential role in supporting our patients on their recovery journey. These incredible animals help individuals with disabilities navigate daily life with greater independence—and we’re proud to recognize the vital impact they have on mental health and wellness. 🐾

Honored to serve those who served. On September 11, Wekiva Springs Center was proud to have our Military Liaison, Trish, represent us at the “Our Veterans Matter” VA Resource Fair. The event brought together vital resources, support and community connections for our nation’s heroes. We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside other organizations dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.

Yesterday, Jacksonville City Council Member Terrance Freeman (second from left) visited Wekiva to discuss the needs of our local community. A big thank-you to Donna, Sheila and Chris for doing an outstanding job sharing our story and preparing a document Terrance will use in conversations with City appropriations staff.

Terrance has also offered to convene a meeting with all providers to address challenges and create accountability. As a former City Council President and a future candidate for the State House, Terrance is working toward a key leadership role at the state level. We are proud to collaborate with him on these important initiatives.

Thank you for the visit, Terrance!

Today is our Flu Vaccine Kick-Off, featuring our campaign mascot, Flu-verine! While the flu vaccine isn’t mandatory, we encourage everyone to do their part in keeping our workplace healthy.
