🎃 Building Dreams & Costumes Together! 🎨

We’re excited to share: the Center for Independent Living Jacksonville has partnered with RS&H, architects, artists, and community volunteers to build custom Halloween costumes for children in wheelchairs.

These aren’t just costumes — they’re tools of inclusion, creativity, and empowerment

✨ Let’s celebrate this beautiful effort that advances equal opportunity, equal access, and the right of every child to imagine, play, and express themselves— It’s not just inclusion, it’s empowering.

🗓️ The costumes will be distributed on October 23 at 4 p.m. at RS&H.

The Center for Independent Living’s Jacksonville chapter is teaming up with architects, artists, and volunteers to build elaborate Halloween costumes for local kids in wheelchairs.

Happy Labor Day everyone. This is taken from the Disability Rights Florida website. It is a great reminder that Labor Day is a celebration of everyone in the workforce, including people with disabilities and the support team that makes it possible for them to be there. Labor Day is for everyone. Today, we honor people with disabilities, caregivers, and all in our workforce who make our communities stronger every day. Workplaces should be accessible and fair for everyone, no exceptions. When each person has what they need to succeed, we all move forward together.
