Honoring Juneteenth ❤️💛💚

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. On June 19, 1865—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation—enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom.

At Jacksonville Pediatrics, we honor this day not only as a pivotal moment in American history but also as a reminder of the importance of equity, education, and compassion in the care we provide every day.
