R.I.P to our "Shop Cat", Yuko, or as she was nick-named, "Miss Yuko" and "Yuko-Chan". She has been my companion for 14 years. She was with me when I started & ended my first business selling art & vintage houswares, when I started Body&Soul in my apartment in Jacksonville, opened a first shop there, and then came with us to our second store in Brunswick in 2020. She was my clingy velcro-cat & wary of others (if you never met her she was often hiding in the back), but made a turn around at her new home, even coming to the door to greet guests more than our friendly greyhound! -- Thank you everyone who gave her a pet and helped her out of her shell. She was a special friend with a unique personality and will be forever loved & fondly remembered.

39th Birthday Reflection + Meet the Maker 🎂

Hello! I'm Vanessa, I'm certified in clinical herbalism, medical aromatherapy & usui reiki & I make/formulate the signature natural goods here at Body&Soul. I co-own the business with my boyfriend, AJ. Every year on my birthday I pop-in to re-introduce myself & reflect on the year!

I LOVE Halloween 🎃 Horror Genre 🦇ALL art but especially fringe, folk, & film 🎨 Philosophy, Psychology 👁 Nature 🌳 & of course-- the Herbalism, Holistic Healing & Mysticism this business is built on. 🔮 ✨️

This has been a tough year for many, but the kind that cracks you open & gives profound revelations. I've (finally) learned to embrace & enjoy “the slow lane”🐌 I have a lot of fire in me and love creating all the time, but pausing is needed for re-direction.

When challenge after challenge hits sometimes the answer isn't to "grind" harder, but to pause. Slow down, heal. Creative flow occasionally needs a cleanse 🌊✨️ Have faith nothing is missing you & what’s meant for you will be delivered when the time is right. -- Deep revelations only come in stillness. 👁

Body&Soul is your one-stop shop for local, handmade, 100% natural bath/personal care, natural supplements like elderberry syrup and irish sea moss gel, pure essential oils and aromatherapy goods. The majority of the products are made in-shop by certified clinical herbalists, and they’re rave reviewed! We’re dedicated to providing high-quality organic and herbal alternatives to what many customers would find with conventional brands in your typical stores. Our signature items are our soap bars, miracle deodorant, whitening charcoal tooth scrub, essential oil inhalers, natural perfumes, bath salts, bug sprays, dog oils and shampoos, essential oil rollers, charcoal masks and face serums, gemstone necklaces and chokers and much more! We also have Elderberry Syrup, Sea Moss Gel, Essential Oils, Herbal Teas, Incense, Sage and Greeting Cards in stock.
