Naval Hospital Jacksonville kicked off its 12th year of the Science, Service, Medicine and Mentoring (S2M2) program at Darnell Cookman School of Medical Arts yesterday, Nov. 19. Leadership met with more than 100 students who are interested in this unique opportunity.

In June 2026, 12 students will spend one week at the hospital for this immersive program designed to encourage, nurture and enhance their commitment to science and medicine in a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment.

Flu Vaccines are given out today until 3 p.m. at the Jacksonville Branch Clinic, Admin builiding to the left of the blue awning, room 104. No appointment is needed - all TRICARE beneficiaries ages 16 and older. Bring an ID with you.

Naval Hospital Jacksonville corpsman administers influenza vaccines to patients outside the Navy Exchange Oct. 27. They will continue to do this tomorrow, Oct. 30 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. to all TRICARE beneficiaries ages 16 and older. Additionally they will be giving vaccinations next week on Nov. 3-6 at the NEX breezeway from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Please bring an ID with you. Flu Vaccines will be given out at the NEX Breezeway Oct. 27-30 and Nov. 2-6 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. for all beneficiaries, ages 16 and older. No appointment is needed - please have your ID with you. Vaccines for those under 16 will be announced when they are received.
