We serve active duty, family members, and retired service members. Naval Hospital Jacksonville provides a medically ready force, a ready medical force, and quality health care. NH Jacksonville consistently earns The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Hospital Accreditation, and all of its Medical Home Port teams have earned Primary Care Medical Home Certification from The Joint Commission. In support of DoD operational missions around the globe, our staff deploy to provide world-class medical care on, above, and below the sea; and on battlefields and humanitarian missions world-wide. With 2,600 staff (active-duty and civilian), NH Jacksonville includes a hospital and five branch health clinics across Florida and Georgia — in Albany, Jacksonville, Key West, Kings Bay, and Mayport. NH Jacksonville serves about 57,000 enrolled patients and expands its capacity to treat 175,000 beneficiaries through local hospitals and physicians in the TRICARE network.

A DAISY Award Ceremony was held at Naval Hospital Jacksonville Jan. 5 to honor the 57 nominees from 2025. Winners of the Award include Ens. Xin Luo from Mother Infant Unit, who received the most nominations. Another winner was Director of Surgical Services Cmdr. Jaime York, who assisted a motorist while traveling to work. The departmental award went to the Emergency Department. An explanation of the Daisy Foundation was given by Capt. (ret.) Robin McKenzie. The award was created in 1999 by the familiy of Patrick Barnes, who passed away at the age of 33 from complications of Immune Thrombocytopenia. Congratulations to Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s New Years Baby for 2026. Proud parents Lt. j.g. Jacob Johnson of the USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81) and wife, Megan, welcomed the birth of daughter Avery on January 1 at 12:27 a.m., weighing 8 lb. 7.5 oz and 20 in. long. The nurses of NH Jacksonville created a basket for the family, which was presented by NH Jacksonville Director Capt. Craig Malloy.

In a collaboration with Northeast Florida University of Florida (UF) Health, residents treat non-military patients, along with program faculty.

Due to December 24th and 26th being declared a holiday by executive order, all facilities to include: Naval Hospital Jacksonville and Branch Clinics Albany, Jacksonville, Key West, Kings Bay and Mayport, will be closed next week from Wednesday, reopening for regular services Dec. 29. Naval Hospital Jacksonville's emergency room will remain open, or call the 24/7 Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1. Our pharmacy operations will remain open on Dec. 24, but please plan ahead if you need prescriptions filled or refilled as they will be closed Dec. 25-28. We look forward to seeing patients during our regular business hours Monday, Dec. 29. Have a safe and happy holiday!
