I wanted to take a moment to speak to you personally and from the heart about our Castle Hayne campus.
This has not been an easy choice, and it is certainly not one I took lightly. Caring for Life has been such a big part of my life, and of my children’s lives as well. We have poured our hearts into this school for many years, and Castle Hayne has been a meaningful part of that journey.
As many of you know, I have been focusing more on growing my psychiatric practice and officially stepped out of my teaching role over two years ago, turning the school over to my daughter, Taylor. Over time, it has been a struggle to find qualified instructors who are both committed to the education process and passionate about teaching. Unfortunately, this often left me stepping back in to cover multiple classes and clinicals….taking time away from my family and my patients. It wasn’t fair to the students, my family, or my professional commitments.
Recently, Taylor welcomed a new baby and is stepping into her new chapter as a mother. With all of these changes, it became clear that we could not sustain the level of support, instruction, and overall experience that I believe you deserve in Castle Hayne.
Rather than spreading ourselves too thin, we’ve made the decision to consolidate to our Jacksonville campus. Jacksonville is better equipped, with more instructors, resources, and opportunities to give you the very best experience. I know this may not be the most convenient change, and I don’t take that for granted. Please know we are committed to supporting you through this transition in every way we can.
Over the years in Castle Hayne, we have taught more than a thousand students!! I am so proud of each and every one of you, and so thankful for the role you’ve played in the Caring for Life family. Thank you Castle Hayne/Wilmington for an amazing 13 years!! ❤️
