After welcoming her first precious baby via cesarean due to breech presentation, this mama went into her second pregnancy with a mix of hope and fear. Her heart longed for a VBAC, but part of her couldn’t shake the “what ifs”—What if this baby was breech too? What if she labored for hours only to face another belly birth?

From the very beginning, we talked about conquering those “what ifs.” I reminded her that while birth is unpredictable, she could still feel strong, informed, and supported every step of the way. I told her, “Your birth story is already written. This time, you get to meet it feeling empowered.”

Sometimes we need a cesarean birth, and it’s in those moments that we’re so thankful for modern medical technology, skilled surgeons and provision from above that helps us get a healthy and non traumatized mom and baby.

🩵It’s cesarean awareness month and we’re celebrating every mama who’s sacrificed themselves to be cut into in order to bring their precious babies into this world unharmed.

A cesarean birth can be a positive experience with the right team supporting and caring for you. Take it from this doula of 14 years…. Your choice of DR or Midwife MATTERS y’all!
