Dr. Farid A. Hakim, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has been in the Jacksonville area since 1996. His special interests include sports medicine, total joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Farid Hakim is among the first surgeons in the Jacksonville area to offer the gender knee replacement-the only knee shaped and sized to fit the female knee. He is among the few specializing in hip arthroscopy for labral tears, and femoral acetabular impingement, as well as the MIS technique for total knee and hip replacement. Dr. Hakim is one of a select few of local orthopaedic surgeons who perform total hip replacement through an anterior approach allowing his patients to return to normal activity at an accelerated rate.
