Hello All! Here is the form from the Florida Department of Health that we would need to fill out for those who are under 65 but still qualify for the COVID19 vaccine based on co-morbid conditions.
This is in regard to Governor DeSantis’ executive order 21-47.
Some of the more common conditions that would qualify include:

-Chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma
-Heart conditions
-Immune compromise including on cancer treatments
-Obesity
-DM; renal failure or liver disease
-Down Syndrome and Sickle Cell

If you feel that you qualify, please print and take to your healthcare provider to make it more efficient!

Hello FAAC friends and family: We know that there are many concerns about returning to school during the COVID19 pandemic and the county’s reopening plans!

We at Family Allergy Asthma Consultants know that this is a confusing time for many and urge folks not to panic but simply use common sense.

There are certainly some of our patients that are more at risk than others, in particular those with asthma and/or primary immune deficiency. We strongly encourage those patients to remain compliant with preventative medications as discussed at previous visits. Currently this remains the best way to prevent the virus from causing a severe illness in those at risk.

We at Family Allergy Asthma Consultants know that this is a very confusing time when trying to get accurate information regarding the Corona Virus. We urge everyone to simply use common sense without panicking over the days, weeks and perhaps months ahead.
Our patients with asthma and primary immune deficiency are the ones most likely to be adversely effected by any respiratory virus and for COVID19 in particular. It is best that these individuals remain (or become) compliant/consistent with their preventative medications/regimens so that, if infected, the effects would be as minimal as possible.
As always we are here to inform and educate. Below please review a document that we are sharing with our patients over the next few days and weeks. Go to cdc.gov for more updated information!

This is exciting news for our peanut allergic patients. We already offer peanut desensitization in our office, but this is the first time there is an FDA approved protocol. Remember that this is NOT a cure for peanut allergy.
