Jamori Kymir Session was born on February 10, 2026, in Jacksonville, Texas, and on that same day entered into the loving arms of Jesus. Though his time on earth was brief, Jamori’s life was filled with love, hope, and a meaning far greater than words can express.

Today, Mercy/McGowan Funeral Home pauses to acknowledge the passing of Pastor Jessie Jackson.

Pastor Jackson was known for his unwavering faith, his dedication to preaching the Gospel, and his lifelong commitment to justice and equality. Beyond the pulpit, he was a civil rights activist who stood alongside Martin Luther King Jr. during the Civil Rights Movement, courageously advocating for freedom, dignity, and equal rights for all. His life reflected a true servant’s heart—devoted to God, to his community, and to the work of uplifting others.

We honor the powerful legacy of faith, leadership, and service he leaves behind. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, church family, and all who were touched by his life and ministry. May God’s peace and comfort surround them during this time.
