To the Family of Mrs. Sandra C. Rasband,

On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for allowing us the honor of serving your family during this difficult time. It was truly a privilege to help celebrate and remember the life of Mrs. Sandra C. Rasband.

Our prayer is that throughout every interaction and detail, you felt not only professionalism, but most of all genuine love, care, and compassion. We understand that no words or services can remove the pain of loss, but it is our hope that our presence brought comfort, peace, and reassurance during your time of bereavement.

Please know that you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Should you need anything in the days ahead, our care and support do not end here—we are always just a phone call away.

With heartfelt sympathy,
The Staff of Mercy/McGowan Funeral Home🕊️

Today, we pause to honor and remember Martin Luther King Jr.—a man whose courage, faith, and unwavering commitment to justice helped shape this nation and move it closer to its promise of equality.

On this day, Mercy/McGowan Funeral Home pauses to honor the life, legacy, and sacrifice of Dr. King. He gave of himself so that future generations might live in a country where equality is not determined by skin color, ethnicity, or nationality, but by the content of one’s character. His dream was not rooted in division, but in unity—one grounded in brotherly love, mutual respect, and justice for all.

Today, let us do more than remember his name or reflect on his words. Let us commit ourselves to carrying his legacy forward in how we treat one another, how we serve our community, and how we stand for what is right—even when it requires courage. May we strive daily to see the humanity in every person and choose compassion over prejudice, understanding over judgment, and love over hate.

As we honor Dr. King, may we also honor his vision through our actions—not just today, but every day—by treating one another with dignity, equality, and love.
