Our Story

Dr Carvell and Associates has been meeting the eye care needs of the Jacksonville area for over 30 years, from preschoolers to seniors. We specialize in fitting all types of contact lenses, including toric (for astigmatism), multifocal and rigid gas permeable, hybrid and scleral contact lenses.

Drs. Melanie Carvell and Michael Lampedecchio are certified optometric physicians, providing comprehensive eye care for most visual and ocular conditions, including dry eyes, glaucoma, cataracts, keratoconus, and macular degeneration. Their examinations will also detect and monitor for ocular manifestations of systemic diseases such as diabetes, thyroid disease, autoimmune disorders, hypertension and allergy.

We pride ourselves in the ability to match every patient’s visual needs with the perfect eyeglass lens to meet those needs. From digitally designed progressive lenses to the newest specialty lenses for computer/digital screen use, we will have what you need. Our large frame inventory will allow us to make you look good while you see better.
