As we gathered back at BEN’S PLACE SERVICES, INC., our Community of Friends spent time reflecting on the incredible evening — sharing favorite moments, telling stories about the dancing, the crowns, the laughter, and all the joy that filled the room. Hearing each person describe what the night meant to them reminded us just how powerful belonging and celebration truly are.

Life skills in action today at the Center!

Our adult members made Shepherd’s Pie (also known as Cottage Pie), learning a little history along the way — discovering its roots in Scotland and Northern England.

We also explored healthy nutrition choices, focusing on lower-fat meats, seasoning with pepper instead of extra salt, and selecting low-sodium ingredients.

Cooking, learning, and growing together — that’s what community is all about.
