After 30 dedicated years, Jan Ely, ARNP has officially retired!

She worked alongside Dr. Garcia, contributing immensely to our team. She had the unique opportunity to work with her daughter, Ashley Ceithaml, who now steps into her role at River City OBGYN. Jan built an incredible patient following and fan base, making each patient feel uniquely valued.

Those who knew Jan will remember her top-notch sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by both the River City OBGYN family and her patients but we are EXCITED for her next chapter of Retirement!

We want to wish Claudette Mallory, APRN all the best as she begins another chapter in her healthcare career. She has been a trusted provider, wonderful friend, and our family, and we will miss her dearly. This will be an amazing adventure for her in Egypt...oh, wait, Baker County. Love you, Claudette!

This brings so much emotion, as I have enjoyed being a part of the RCOGYN family for over 10 years. I have learned so much, grown so much as a provider, a woman, and really as a human being. I am forever grateful for Dr. Garcia bringing me into the fold and teaching me and trusting me so much. I have developed relationships with staff members that will continue to thrive long after I leave, as I love to call these ladies my “work wives”. I have also developed relationships with my patients and have definitely learned more from them than they learned from me!
I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life and to provide care in the community that I live. Dr. Garcia, along with all of RCOBGYN have helped develop me into the Nurse Practitioner that I am and each patient that I see benefits from that. I will continue to work each day to make you proud and ultimately strive to glorify God in everything I say and do. As of April 1st, Dr. Garcia will be retiring from the OB portion of his practice and will focus solely on GYN & Aesthetics/Wellness. No, this is not an April’s Fools joke! For 40 years, this has not just been Dr. Garcia’s career…but his passion, his calling. Ever heard of ”Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon?” Try Six Degrees of Martin A. Garcia, MD! He has delivered over 13,000 babies in the Greater Jacksonville Area, connecting him to so many families for two generations. Thank you, Dr. Garcia for the wonderful care you continue to provide and the legacy you have created for River City OBGYN!
