SeaAura Naturals has grown out of a lifetime of learning and living naturally without the dangers and chemicals we deal with today. I raised my children on a working farm, part time zoo. We had the usual cows, pigs, horses and chickens with 2 ostriches, 2 peacocks, bee hives, a baby deer whose mother had died and a variety of rabbits, guineas, goats and various pets. We learned from other our parents, grandparents, farmer’s, friends, neighbors (the closest was 2 miles away) about natural ways to cure common ailments and live healthy lives without all the dangerous chemicals we are faced with today.
Once I retired from a corporate career job in 2002, I began studying herbs, essential oils and all things natural. When I realized that I could make many of my own therapeutic remedies that could be used alternatively for simple things like colds, stuffy nose, skin issues like Psoriasis and Eczema, dandruff and many anti-aging products that don’t have to cost a fortune to be effective. I started making them for my children, grandchildren, close friends and anyone that was willing to try them and they came back for more.
I even shared my original body butter with one of my doctors who encouraged me to sell them. It was only when she offered me a check for $500, no strings attached, that I took her seriously. She said she looked everywhere to find something similar to my body butter and when she couldn’t find it, she thought she should give me a start. It’s hard to say no to someone who obviously believed in me.
Someone else who believed in me was my mentor, Donna. She is a Master Herbalist in Jacksonville, Florida who taught me much more about herbs, essential oils and not only for healing. I learned to make soaps, creams, tinctures, balms and so much more.
