Sarah Freeman’s baby started his life in the NICU and struggled to breastfeed. Thanks to help from a JMH lactation consultant, he’s now thriving at three months old.
“Breastfeeding is hard at times, but when you are successful it supports the bond between mom and baby in a way that fills both of us with so much love. We are so grateful to our lactation consultant for supporting us in that and not giving up.”

Breastfeeding can be challenging especially for new moms. Need encouragement? Consider the JMH Breastfeeding Support Group, a space to share experiences, ask questions and receive encouragement from a lactation consultant and other breastfeeding moms. 2nd & 4th Wednesdays each month, 6-7 p.m. at JMH.

Mental health wellness kits will be available to check out at the Jacksonville Public Library as part of a regional community health initiative through Memorial Health. The kits are designed for ages 3 through adult and include books, worksheets, coloring pages, resource lists & more.
