When a payer system transition at Tricare East, Sophros’s largest payer, caused a significant payment delay earlier this year, our team stepped in.

The opposite of addiction is connection. We gather in safe places, with people with shared experience, so that we know we are not alone. To know that it gets better.

I wish we could take credit for launching all of these meetings, but the truth is that most of these meetings have been borne out of the motivation of Sophros Recovery alumni to do service to others on their path to recovery.

- 3 nights a week (plus Saturday), we have smart recovery, to help those with any form of addictive behavior.
- 1x/week, we have a Veteran and first responder meeting (SMART format), for those who serve to gather together
- 1x/week, we host Recovery Dharma, for a meditation-focused recovery
- Monthly, we bring in a guest AA speaker to share their experience strength and hope. Thanks Vik Mak!

These are all free. They are all open. We want Sophros to be a place of healing, for anyone in Northeast Florida to continue on their journey. Join us.

Sophros Recovery is officially launching our Spanish-language virtual treatment program (first groups 4/21), making high-quality addiction and mental health care more accessible to the Spanish-speaking community across Florida.

This expansion reflects our mission to help Florida residents regain their lives. With the rise of telehealth, we’ve seen how virtual care can break down barriers. Now, with bilingual therapists and culturally-focused support, we’re working to ensure those barriers don’t exist for Spanish speakers in Florida.

Whether someone is struggling with substance use, trauma, or looking to take the first step toward healing, they can reach out.

Sophros Recovery is now in-network with Ambetter—making the highest-quality addiction treatment more accessible!

Cost shouldn’t be a barrier to getting help. More people can now access our PHP and IOP programs in Jacksonville/Tampa. This also applies to our virtual IOP program, which has redesigned the way treatment is delivered in a virtual format, allowing for a similar experience and outcomes to in-person care.
