A little before and after and a cool story. I've been building "stuff" for a very long time. In the early days,I was fortunate enough to work for and with some of the most talented people in the business and their shops had amazing tools. I dreamed of having my own amazing tools but financially it wasn't an option..until one day. We were going to Birmingham to spend Thanksgiving with my Dad and his wife Kate. During our visit,my Dad asked me to come down to the basement with him. He had bought a table saw, compound miter saw, routers etc to do the renovation on their kitchen. My response was these are"amazing tools". His response "I want you to take these back home with you,I know you will put them to good use". What? That day changed my life. The saw in the picture was purchased about 8 years ago for the sign shop I was working at. 8 years later, he bought a new saw and this one wasn't being used and fell victim to the elements and was in really bad shape. They offered it to me. I brought it home, completely dismantled it and brought it back to life. As nice as it turned out,I have no need for 2 table saws in my shop,so it was my turn to help someone else who had an interest in woodworking that wanted their own "amazing tools". Last weekend, I delivered the saw to my daughter in law Mariana Cruz. Her and my son Andrew Le Munyon are renovating their new house and I hear they've already put some miles on the saw. I hope they build many beautiful and useful creations for their home. Time to make some sawdust!
