Male factor infertility is involved in about half of infertility cases, yet so many women still end up carrying the emotional weight first. They track everything, make the appointments, adjust their routines, and quietly wonder if the problem is their fault, all while male testing is often delayed.

This is one of the reasons we wanted to make this post.

Infertility is not automatically a woman’s issue. Male factor can include concerns with s***m count, motility, morphology, or other s***m-related issues, which is why a full fertility workup should include both partners early in the process.

And if male factor is part of the picture, that does not mean the journey is over. It means the next steps should be guided by better information, shared responsibility, and support for both people involved.

Acupuncture may be a helpful complementary therapy for some men by supporting stress regulation and overall wellness. Research on semen parameters is still mixed, but it may be a meaningful addition to a broader fertility care plan in the right setting.

Most of all, we want women to hear this clearly: you were never meant to carry the blame alone.
