Cinco de Mayo at Starling at San Jose was one for the books!

Maracas were shaking, feet were moving, and the energy was absolutely infectious. Between live mariachi, homemade guacamole, sweet churros, and lots of laughter, this time together brought pure joy. 🍹🥑

💛 Some visits just fill your heart right up, and this was one of them.

A group of 6th graders from Saint Joseph's Catholic School recently stopped by Starling San Jose, and they came prepared! Armed with activities and big smiles, these young visitors led the way and our residents enjoyed getting to know them.

There's something truly special about different generations coming together — and this visit was proof of just that.

Starling at San Jose recently welcomed back Isaac and members of the origami club from Wolfson High School for another memorable visit! This time, they shared highlights and photos from their trip to an exciting origami conference in New York, giving everyone a glimpse into the creativity and innovation happening in the origami world.

After the presentation, the group led a hands-on session where residents had the chance to learn and create their own origami pieces step-by-step. Laughter, focus, and a lot of beautifully folded paper filled the room!

We’re so grateful to Isaac and the students for returning to share their experiences, talent, and enthusiasm with our community. We look forward to their next visit!

🌸 Suzy from Suzy’s Botanical Gardens visited Starling San Jose to teach our residents the art of floral design!

Residents enjoyed watching and learning as she demonstrated how to create beautiful floral arrangements and shared helpful tips along the way. It was a fun and engaging experience, and everyone learned so much! At the end, residents were able to take home Suzy’s stunning creations! 💐

This week, our residents at Starling at San Jose marked the start of Passover with a meaningful Seder led by Cheryl, who beautifully shared the stories and symbolism behind each tradition. The evening continued with a lovingly prepared Passover dinner by our Culinary Team, a perfect close to a memorable night.

Her sessions are always a highlight, bringing relaxation, movement, and smiles. We’re so grateful she visits twice a month, it truly makes a difference. We can’t wait for the next session! 💙
