We did residents' favorite games - Minute to Win It. They had to throw cotton balls into the bowl; find and connect the two sides of an egg using only one hand (hard game); sort jelly beans one at a time with one hand in the appropriate cup; and knock down the peeps using an egg. They also were able to enjoy some cookies and snacks brought by David from Brightstar Care.

A fairy tale love story for two residents in long term care.

Step into the heartwarming world of our nursing home, where a love story unfolded, and an enduring bond was forged. Meet our remarkable couple, Ed and Tamera, whose love story transcend time and continues to inspire us all. In the halls of our facility, their tale of love, and commitment serve as a beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring power of love.

Ed and Tamera first met in 2024 when Ed admitted to Regents Park of Jacksonville for therapy. Almost immediately the two hit it off and quickly became good friends which shortly after blossomed into a fairy tale romance.

While speaking with Ed he said that “whenever I saw her, I would get butterflies in my stomach. Like I was a teenager.”

The couple stated that almost immediately they knew they wanted to get married and spend the rest of their lives together. The couple decided they wanted to get married at the place where they met at “The Park."

On 3/7/25, less than a year after they met, they were surrounded by friends and family and Mr. and Mrs. Boudreau were established.

This love story reminds us of all that it is never to late to find forever love. All of us at The Park wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness. Thank you both for allowing us to be part of your amazing love story.
