We are celebrating the of our recent patient, Ms. Alabiso!

Ms. Alabiso, a 98-year-old native of Brooklyn, NY, came to Riverside Post Acute following a fall at home that led to a femur fracture. Upon admission, she was non weight baring and now is confidently ambulating!

When asked about her time here, Ms. Alabiso says her stay was fabulous and credits her rapid recovery to the amazing therapy team that got her back to baseline to return home with her home health aide.

On September 16th, Riverside Post Acute in partnership with Haven Palliative Care hosted a dementia simulation training for healthcare professionals, family members and members of the community.

We were also joined by a team from Jacksonville Mayo Clinic's Alzheimer's Reseach Department. It was an educational experience full of connection and community and we look forward to our next event!

Oh what an afternoon we had!

Riverside Post-Acute proudly hosted Community Day in honor of our local first responders! Members of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were treated to a grab-and-go breakfast along with healthy treats generously provided by our wonderful vendors.

A special thank you to Hospice of Florida and The Community Hospice for joining us, and to our very own Jeanette Yates, who shared her inspiring book From Guilt to Good Enough. We were also grateful to welcome members of EMS and the Security Department from our neighboring hospital, Ascension St. Vincent’s Jacksonville.

The day was filled with joy, gratitude, and community spirit. Together, we lifted up our first responders with prayer, fellowship, and even live entertainment. This event was truly a team effort, thank you to everyone for making this such a meaningful occasion!
