I spent some time on the new government website Moms.gov to see what kind of information is being provided to my patients. And I come away thinking this site should be labeled misinformation. There is no info on infertility or IVF, only adoption. They continue the false narrative that Tylenol/acetaminophen is unsafe. And they direct patients to pregnancy crisis centers that are typically backed by religious organizations and do not provide full options to patients. In fact they have been found intentionally providing misinformation to prevent the patient from having an abortion, which they do not support. There is also no information on contraception which is important for both pre and post pregnancy. There is an obvious angle here but it certainly isn’t medical and it certainly isn’t backed by current literature. As usual, please consult YOUR physician or midwife regarding your specific circumstances. This website is useless at best and more likely harmful.

Scrubbing in for a cesarean delivery at 0605 after I’d come in at 0350. Get home at 0700 to get ready for the day. Back to the office by 0845. Returned home at 3:30pm. All charts completed. Dinner at the beautiful River Club. Now chill time on the couch after a virtual meeting. It was a long day. But it was a good day. And it will be an early night. 👩‍⚕️ ♥️
