12 years ago, I sat down at The Brick with Dr Glas, Dr Garcia and our office manager to make sure I would be a good fit for the practice. It was a lovely dinner and 12 years later, I think we got it right šŸ’ššŸ’™

Throwback Tuesday? To that time in 2010 at the AMWA National Conference when I won 1st place/Women in Science Award for this poster! So many hours went into that large poster. Gathering and analyzing the data and then designing it. It was the last poster I’ve ever presented šŸ˜ I’m more of a clinical sort of girl, but super proud of this one!

I’ve definitely had patients say this to me. And like she says, we will work to save both of you. Uniquely in medicine, we take care of two patients at once. We don’t abandon one for the sake of the other.

Just so we’re clear. We look at each patients history to make the right choice for the patient. We can and do have time to do this. It’s part of the job. This is straight fear mongering. Please talk it over with your physician who knows your personal history.

Btw, she never even completed residency which is required to be board certified.

Happy early Valentine’s Day from Dr Wells and Dr Gillespie! šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ«¶šŸ»

It’s been a whirlwind of a beginning to the year. Part of that whirlwind has been the start of my position as Chairman of the Ob/Gyn Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville (Downtown) for 2026 and 2027. It’s a position that I have spent the last two years readying myself for and am eager to represent our speciality well while continuing our work to improve the care of all of our patients. Thank you to those who have and continue to teach and support me along the way! Baptist Health Jacksonville River City OBGYN

Evidence does not show Tylenol as a cause of autism. When genetics are taken into account, any effect disappeared. That’s what good research does. It controls for variables.

Tylenol is still safe to take in pregnancy.

ACOG reaffirms the safety and benefits of acetaminophen use during pregnancy.
More than two decades of research have found no causal link between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability in children. Acetaminophen continues to be an important and safe option for managing pain and fever in pregnancy—conditions that can pose serious risks to pregnant patients and their fetuses if left untreated. A well designed study in 2024 showed no link between Tylenol and autism or ADHD. This study actually controlled for variables where previous had not. Correlation IS NOT causation.
