A healthy liver is smooth and uniform. A cirrhotic liver? Bumpy, scarred, and rough sort of like cobblestone.

Cirrhosis happens when long-term damage (from alcohol, fatty liver, or hepatitis) leads to scarring. Symptoms can include:
