🦃 Turkey Derby Barracks Bash 2025!

River Point Behavioral Health had such a great time teaming up with MWR Mayport for this year’s Turkey Derby Barracks Bash! From yard games and archery tag to giveaways, music, and plenty of laughs, it was a fun afternoon celebrating and supporting our amazing service members at NAS Mayport. 🇺🇸💙

Our team loved meeting everyone who stopped by our table—and yes, the turkey hats made the day even better!

Thank you to MWR Mayport for hosting such a fantastic event and to all the sailors who came out. We’re proud to support your mental health and wellness and grateful for everything you do.

National Kindness Week...
Sharing a heartfel story from our Director or Business Development, Nicole Wolfson

💛 Live Like Nancy
In December of 2021, just days before Christmas, my grandmother Nancy passed away peacefully—with me by her side. She was my favorite person in the world. The kind of woman whose love didn’t need words, because it was woven into everything she did.
Nancy was the most generous soul I’ve ever known. She gave without recognition, without expectation. Growing up, I watched her hand out McDonald’s gift cards to people experiencing homelessness—“because a simple meal could change their day,” she’d say. She drove elderly women to hair appointments and grocery stores when they could no longer drive themselves. She volunteered her time, her money, and most importantly, her heart. Nancy didn’t just give resources—she gave presence. She didn’t need an applause. She needed purpose- and she found that in others.
After she passed, I felt a deep need to carry her spirit forward. So I started a simple ritual: every week, sometimes more, I do something kind in her honor. A small gesture to brighten someone’s day. I call it “Live Like Nancy.”
It might be paying for a stranger’s coffee. Leaving a kind note. Donating to a cause she would’ve supported. These acts aren’t grand—but they’re powerful. Because they remind me, and others, that kindness is a legacy worth living.
And every year, on November 5th—Nancy’s birthday—we celebrate Live Like Nancy Day. “Live Like Nancy: because one small gesture can echo for a lifetime.”
It’s a day dedicated to doing something good, something generous, something that makes the world a little softer. Friends, family, and even strangers join in. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being present.
I can only hope to be half the woman Nancy was. But I’m trying. Every day. By living like Nancy.
“The greatest use of a life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.” — William James

What an incredible day! ✨

River Point Behavioral Health was honored to support NAMI’s 2025 Mental Health Walk today — and what a huge success it was! 👣💙

We walked alongside hundreds of community members, advocates, and families to raise awareness, fight stigma, and show that mental health matters.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out, walked with us, and shared in this powerful movement of hope and healing. Together, we are stronger. 💪
