Many times in residency, we have to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure patient safety. Sometimes we have to track medicine down, follow up on that last minute care coordination effort, or confirm patients will have oxygen at home when they arrive after discharge. Having a mindset is key, and despite how exhausting it can be, Lisa Alley, DO, PGY-1 shows us how we can all step up and ensure our patients get the care they deserve.
