EXCITING NEWS! — Congratulations to Kelsey Williams-Henry, MD, PGY-1 for being elected the 2021-2022 Resident Secretary/Treasurer for the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. She will join a very long legacy of residents from St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program that have served on the FAFP Resident Directors board in the past. We are confident that Dr. Williams-Henry will bring her passion and positive attitude to the table as she represents residents throughout the state of Florida!

Many times in residency, we have to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure patient safety. Sometimes we have to track medicine down, follow up on that last minute care coordination effort, or confirm patients will have oxygen at home when they arrive after discharge. Having a mindset is key, and despite how exhausting it can be, Lisa Alley, DO, PGY-1 shows us how we can all step up and ensure our patients get the care they deserve.

RESIDENT HIGHLIGHT — Dr. Fergiani was born in Aurora, Colorado and spent half of her childhood there before her family moved to Orlando, Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. For her graduate medical education, she was honored to continue at UCF at their College of Medicine campus in Lake Nona. Dr. Fergiani always knew she wanted to be a primary care physician and loved that Family Medicine focuses on the holistic care and establishment of long-term relationships with patients. With the supportive environment, diversity of the program and a focus on service, Dr. Fergiani is excited to be a part of the St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, cooking, traveling and watching soccer.

In lieu of volunteering our time due to scheduling challenges, our residents donated $255 to the Clara White Mission () feeding program to provide 85 meals to the homeless and those in need this holiday season! @ St. Vincent's Medical Center Riverside

Our Inpatient Medicine Team is available 24-7, caring for patients around the clock. Sometimes we can sneak down to one of our favorite spots at the hospital – a newly renovated gazebo down by the water – to enjoy the sunset and to get some fresh air.
