Both of our girls - Sydney and Sunny - are the result of a "Hail Mary" egg retrieval that resulted in only 6 eggs (going in, we were hopeful for one or two) and produced two viable embryos. One produced Sydney in 2022, and the other produced Sunny last month. We know that most doctors won't even perform the procedure when they believe so few eggs can be retrieved. They just keep the money and force them into a new cycle. That's a real shame. We are SO blessed that Dr. Shaykh gave us the chance to be parents in spite of the odds. That both embryos resulted in live births - one two years later - is also amazing! We will be forever grateful to Dr. Shaykh and the Assisted Fertility Program team for helping bring Sydney and Sunny into the world!!
