I have lived in Jacksonville, Florida for the past 18 years, originally hailing from Denver, Colorado. I have a Ph.D. in Humans Services, a M.S. in Psychology, and a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling. I am a licensed mental health counselor, a certified r**e crisis hotline counselor, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have been in the counseling field for over 20 years. I began working as a psychotherapist in Colorado in 1996 and am now in private practice as the owner of Possible Self Counseling, PL which specializes in LGB and heterosexual couples, transgender support, grief and trauma, anger management, and self-empowerment. Currently I am working with Dr. Noelle Pomeroy at her office called Jacksonville Center for Sexual Health. Some of the classes taught include General Psychology, Lifespan Development, Counseling Skills and Techniques, Family and Couples Counseling, Theories of Addictions, CyberCounseling, Theories of Personality, and Abnormal Psychology. My research includes dissociative identity disorder treatment, men with anger, test anxiety in college students, and the educational needs of counseling interns in regards to counseling LGB couples.
