In case you were wondering ... 3 Things to Know About Chiropractic Care For Children

1️⃣Kids’ spines experience stress early and often -- and this is 🆗! There is good stress (exercise, developmental milestones, a cold a year); and not-so-good stress (gut disruption from antibiotics, phyisical injuries, emotional disruptions)

2️⃣ Pediatric chiropractic care is gentle and tailored. Specifically at Thrive Family Chiropractic, no child under 5 gets adjusted manually unless they have enough body awareness and autonomy and the ability to verbalize what they feel. All kiddos, 0-5 years (and older ones!) get adjusted with an Activator tool or using gentle techniques like sustained holds, Sacro-occipital technique (SOT) or Craniosacral Technique (CST)

3️⃣ It’s safe, effective, and often enjoyable for kids. Chiropractic care for children has a strong safety record, feels comfortable or pleasant, and children often respond quickly with fewer visits needed than adults. How Chiropractic enhances the brain-body connection and boosts your stress resilience.

"Chiropractors help improve normal alignment and function in the spine. They help to re-establish the proper neurological connection between the brain and body by correcting vertebral subluxations. A vertebral subluxation is a situ­ation in which one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) lose their normal alignment and function, creating pressure or irritation on the spinal cord or spinal nerves, causing those nerves to malfunction or obstruct the signals traveling over them."

These subluxations can happen for so many reasons; trauma and non-trauma related: pregnancy, birth, infant development, sports, day-to-day activities, illness.

This is why we encourage Chiropractic care to be part of everyone's well checks, regular wellness support and health practices.

This month we will co-host with Johanna Lee from as we have conversations about motherhood. Our carrier library will be available for all moms to try and learn more about our lending program.

🐣 HOLY WEEK/EASTER HOLIDAYS OFFICE HOURS 🪺

Dr Forstner and Dr Kent will be enjoying some time off with their family during this week.

Dr Kent will be in the Jacksonville office TODAY (MONDAY 3/30) and Middleburg office TOMORROW (TUESDAY 3/31) with available appointments for established patients.

Dr Padilla will be in the office all week during her normal hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons and Thursday 9am-2pm
