For this week's we're introducing Dr. Nithi Tokavanich and Dr. Abel Ignatius.

Dr. Tokavanich is a cardiac electrophysiologist at UF Health Jacksonville and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Florida. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex heart rhythm disorders, with a focus on advanced rhythm-management therapies.

Dr. Ignatius is a cardiologist at UF Health Jacksonville and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Florida, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based cardiac care. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and echocardiography, and combines broad clinical expertise with advanced cardiac imaging skills to help patients make informed, confident decisions about their heart health.

Today we're doing a physician spotlight on our featured cardiologists: Dr. Calvin Choi and Dr. Sharon Natanzon.

Dr. Choi is a structural interventional cardiologist at UF Health Jacksonville and a professor of medicine at the University of Florida. He focuses on treatments for complex coronary, structural and valvular heart diseases. With extensive expertise in leading-edge therapies, Dr. Choi combines technical precision and innovation to provide outstanding, patient-centered cardiac care.

Our 2025 recap series continues! Today's post features the official launch of our Mobile Stroke Unit in collaboration with the City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department. The MSTU has proven to be a game changer in the ability to treat stroke victims faster. This specially equipped vehicle brings the emergency care to the patient and shortens the time between the onset of stroke symptoms and the delivery of acute stroke care. With advanced tools like a portable CT scanner, telemedicine capabilities, and stroke-specific medication on board, this unit is designed to diagnose and begin treatment immediately.
