breastmilk contains riboflavin, a B-vitamin that naturally fluoresces under UV light. That means if you put a bottle of pumped milk under a blacklight, it’ll literally glow neon yellow-green, like some kind of supernatural energy drink.

It’s not just a party trick either—riboflavin is crucial for converting food into energy and protecting cells from oxidative stress. So while adults need it to avoid things like fatigue and mouth sores, babies need it to grow at warp speed without their tiny systems burning out.

So yes—human milk is the original glow stick. Only difference is, cracking this one open doesn’t end in regret the next morning.

A doula is a trained support professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Unlike medical providers, doulas don’t replace your midwife or doctor; they walk beside you to make sure you feel supported, heard, and empowered every step of the way.

Why You Need One:
Continuous emotional support through labor & delivery.
Comfort techniques to ease pain naturally.
Guidance for partners to feel confident in their role.
Advocacy for your wishes in the birth space.
Postpartum support as you transition into parenthood.

With a doula by your side, birth feels less overwhelming and more empowering.
At Blessedful Breastfeeding, you don’t just get doula care, you also have the added benefit of an IBCLC guiding you toward successful breastfeeding from the very first latch.

That’s support that lasts well beyond delivery.
Ready to feel supported, confident, and cared for?

Not all lactation consultants hold the same level of training or certification. An IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is the gold standard in lactation care—someone who has completed thousands of hours of hands-on experience, rigorous education, and passed an international board exam.

💡 That means when you see an IBCLC, you’re working with a recognized healthcare professional who can support complex feeding challenges, collaborate with your care team, and provide evidence-based solutions tailored to you and your baby.

✨ While many people may call themselves lactation consultants, an IBCLC carries the highest credential in the field. At Babies Best Beginnings, you can feel confident knowing your family is cared for by an expert every step of the way.

09/16/2025

One of the biggest misconceptions in breastfeeding is that eating certain foods or drinking lots of water will magically increase your milk supply.

While staying nourished and hydrated is important for your health, your body makes milk based on supply and demand — not on what you eat.

Here’s how it works:
🌿 The more often your baby nurses (or milk is removed through pumping), the more signals your body gets to make milk.
🌿 Skipping feeds or relying heavily on scheduled feeding can sometimes decrease supply because your body thinks less milk is needed.
🌿 Nursing on demand and ensuring a good latch are the best ways to support your supply naturally.

So mama, instead of stressing over “magic foods” or gallons of water, focus on:
🤱 Nursing your baby frequently and effectively.
💤 Resting when you can.
💖 Trusting your amazing body to do its job.

You were designed for this, and if you need help along the way, support is always one click away. 💕

Many parents think turning up the suction on their breast pump will help them get more milk.

🚫 Not true!
👉 Increasing suction does not increase milk flow or supply.
👉 What it can do is cause ni**le pain, trauma, and even long-term damage.

💡 Milk supply responds to effective stimulation and frequent removal — not max suction.

Your pump should feel comfortable and mimic your baby’s natural rhythm.
✨ Pro tip: Find the lowest suction level that’s comfortable and still allows milk to flow.
Comfort = productivity.

If pumping hurts, something isn’t right.
I can help make sure your fl**ge fit, settings, and routine are supporting your supply without causing damage.
You deserve a pain-free, productive pumping experience!

There’s a lot of misinformation out there, and it can be overwhelming to know what’s true. Let’s clear some things up together! 💡

Myth #1: “If you don’t make enough milk in the first few days, you never will.”
❌ False! Your body is designed to first produce colostrum — that “liquid gold” packed with nutrients and antibodies. Mature milk usually comes in between days 3–5, and supply can be built with frequent feeds, a good latch, and support.

✨ As an IBCLC, I love helping families sort through myths and get to the facts so you can breastfeed with confidence.
