Talking about cancer is uncomfortable.
Not talking about it can be costly. 💜

We aren’t raised to ask our moms about bleeding, pain, or the last time they saw a doctor. We’re taught to “stay positive,” change the subject, and hope it’s nothing. But silence doesn’t protect us, sometimes it just delays the help we need.

Starting the conversation can mean earlier checkups, earlier detection, and more options on the table if something is wrong. And even when the outcome doesn’t change, those conversations still matter. They mean nobody is walking through confusion and fear alone.

This is your nudge:
Call your mom. Text your sister. Check in with your friend. Ask about the appointment she’s been putting off and the symptoms she keeps joking about. You don’t need perfect words, you just need the courage to care out loud.

Start the conversation.
Ask the questions.
Check on your mom before the diagnosis has a chance to speak for her.

Most of us weren’t taught to talk about women’s health with our moms. I didn’t and it became one of the biggest regrets of my life.

This video is for every stage:
💜 Before*– Ask the questions now. “When was your last checkup?” “Have you noticed any changes?”
💜 During– If you’re already in the chaos, our caregiver trackers help you stay organized when your brain and heart are overloaded.
💜 After– If they fought as hard as they could and you’re grieving, our 100 coping skills guide is for the days you’re just trying to function.

Wherever you are on that path, you’re not alone.
Start the conversation. Check on your mom. We’re holding space for you.

We talk a lot about early detection and ‘starting the conversation.’ But some stories end the same, no matter how loud we yelled. This space is for the ones who caught it, fought it, and still had to say goodbye.

Did you grab a glow stick at the Icemen Cancer Awareness Game? 💜✨

We want to see how you helped LIGHT UP THE FIGHT in the stands. If you snapped a pic or video with your glow stick, rally towel, or COYM shirt, post it and **tag ** so we can share the love.

Your support helps us keep starting conversations, supporting caregivers, and honoring the families walking through cancer and grief right now.

Know the five and start the conversation. 💜

Cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, vulvar, five different GYN cancers, all serious, all too easy to miss when we don’t know what to look for. Learning the signs is one of the most powerful ways we can protect the women we love.

Save this as your reminder to ask questions at your next checkup, talk openly about symptoms that feel “off,” and share these resources with your mom, sisters, and friends. Awareness is the first step; the next step is starting the conversation.

Jacksonville showed up. 💜🏒

This snapshot is from our Check On Your Mom table at the Cancer Awareness Game on April 3rd, where we spent the night putting “Know the Five” GYN cancer fact cards ( Donated from ) and “Start the Conversation / Check On Your Mom” bracelets directly into people’s hands. Families stopped, asked questions, shared their stories, and left with more language to talk about symptoms, risk, and women’s health.

Nights like this are why we do what we do: sports, community, and real conversations coming together in one place. If you grabbed a bracelet, a card, or just paused at the table, you’re part of this movement.

From the front door handing out wands to the table with our signature bracelets and fast fact cards. (shout out to Foundation for Women's Cancer for the fast fact cards!) We made sure everyone could light up the fight, be informed and have a reminder to start the conversation.

This was an amazing opportunity to show that we’re here and ready to share the mission. That women’s health isn’t just a woman’s issue but a family issue.

We offer free resources for those in the chaotic moments like our trackers.
(A all in one is on the way!🫣)

And if you’ve lost someone, there’s something for you in the 100 coping skills that gives you ideas to help with grief.

Thank you to everyone involved that made this possible. 💜

Remember,

Start the conversation.

Ask the questions.

Huge shoutout to the Foundation for Women's Cancer Cancer for equipping us with these “Know the Five” fast fact cards on gynecologic cancers. Their resources helped us make sure families walking by our table didn’t just grab a bracelet, they left with real information about cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancer and the symptoms to watch for.
Education is one of the most powerful tools we have in the fight against GYN cancer, and partners like this help us start better conversations, catch changes sooner, and empower women to advocate for their own health. We’re grateful to stand alongside organizations who believe, like we do, that awareness plus action can save lives.

Have you seen this? 💜

Imagine sitting in a freezing treatment room, already exhausted, and hearing, “I’m just going to need you to undress again so we can reach your port.”
For so many moms and loved ones, that moment is the one that finally breaks them, the feeling of being exposed, watched, and vulnerable over and over again.

That’s why this top hit me so hard.
The soft fabric, the hidden zippers on the chest and sleeves, the way it opens just enough for nurses to reach ports and PICC lines while everything else stays covered, it’s a small thing that quietly says, “Your comfort and dignity matter, too.”

If you or someone you love is going through chemo, dialysis, or surgery recovery, this might make those long treatment days just a little bit easier to face. And sometimes, “a little bit easier” is exactly what gets you through the next appointment.

Grab yours in the link below, and if you need emotional support or caregiving tools, remember Check On Your Mom is here walking this road with you.
