After back to back surgery days on patients from all over the world 🌍 as I finished the last case that even in my experience was extremely challenging… I left my office looking forward to sharing that case with my daughter on my drive home.

As I stepped into my car, my phone rang 📱— and on the other end, she squealed with joy: “I just did my first cataract surgery!” 👩‍⚕️✨

Then came the only sentence I eagerly look forward to “And that patient is seeing 20/20.” 👁💡

That one call made my day. Legacy in motion.

Spent 15 intense hours ⏳ at the Institute — listening 👂, empathizing 🤗, measuring and re-measuring 📏, planning, explaining 🗣️, and designing surgical techniques & technology applications 🥊 for Worldwide patients who arrived labeled “Impossible.”

• 🌍 Patients flew in from all over the planet.
• ⏱ Not a single one waited — .
• 💯 accompanying families, after witnessing the process, scheduled themselves as future patients.
• 🕰️ Consults stretched far beyond minutes — even hours when needed — because every eye deserves depth, not speed.
• 📝 Patients and staff left on time; I remained, refining surgical plans late into the night.

Because my Fight is Bigger than their Complexities -

Still calm. Still composed. Still ready. ✨

Adios
After finishing my talks, connecting with colleagues, and collaborating with industry from all over the world 🌍, I took off to explore — adding color 🍺✨ to the already colorful city of Copenhagen 🇩🇰.

From raising a Carlsberg at Nyhavn’s vibrant harbor 🏘️, to greeting the Little Mermaid 🧜‍♀️, attending formal galas 🎩, and enjoying ice cream with my sweetheart ❤️ at every opportunity — serendipity followed as my ensembles matched, and the city echoed back in style.

Exploring its charm, finding inspiration in Scandinavian fashion 🧵 (from Norway’s wool to Copenhagen’s flair), designing new Gulani Plastique™ surgical instruments ✨, and simply resting — it was the perfect way to close an incredible week.

Conferences are about teaching and innovation, but also about celebrating culture, fashion, and life itself. 🎨✨

Now, back to Jacksonville 🌴☀️ … to walk my talk with patients from around the world. 👁✨
