VA Massachusetts/Wisconsin PTSD Research We actively recruiting individuals to participate in a research study examining 2 different treatmen

01/07/2021

Are you a veteran who has experienced a traumatic event (e.g., sexual assault, serious car accident, physical assault, combat exposure) and are now having problems such as intense emotions when reminded of the event, difficulty sleeping, or difficulty controlling your anger?

If so, you may be eligible for a treatment study comparing two effective treatments for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder being funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The study involves a total of 4 assessments and 5-15 treatment sessions with all sessions conducted remotely (i.e., phone or video).

The goal of the study is to examine whether a brief treatment for PTSD (5-7 sessions) is equally effective as a more time intensive treatment (8-15 sessions). All appointments are scheduled at the convenience of veteran participants and veterans are compensated for their time.

If you reside Massachusetts and are interested in participating, contact Chelsea Shotwell Tabke at (857) 364-4938.

If you reside in Wisconsin and are interested in participating, contact Karen Roach at (608)-256-1901 Ext. 12626.
